She has helped a number of organizations from the development and public sectors in the conceptualization and implementation of their KM and organizational learning projects. She assisted the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund of the Central African Republic in eliciting lessons from implementing peace building projects, and facilitated the sharing of best practices for the UNDP –Small Grants Programme– Global Environment Fund, Philippines (UNDP-SGP-GEF, Philippines). She consolidated the proceedings of the Pilot Lessons Learned Meeting on the Project Management Cycle of the global coalition on water resources called Streams of Knowledge, and served as lead consultant in training four sub-teams of the Multipartite Monitoring Team of the Malampaya Natural Gas Project, Department of Environment and Natural Resources of the Philippines in sharing and embedding inter-team lessons. Her clients in the public sector include the National Economic Development Authority of the Philippines, Palawan Council for Sustainable Development, the National Water Resources Board, the Philippine Council for Advanced Science and Technology Research and Development, and the Bureau of Animal Industry, among others. Ms. Suministrado is a mover in the development, refinement and application of the Knowledge for Poverty Alleviation (KPA) framework to community-based development projects. She is co-author of the e-book entitled “Community Wealth Rediscovered: Knowledge for Poverty Alleviation”. She has also written several papers on KM and development economics commissioned by the USAID, IDRC, the Poverty and Economic Policy Network (PEP), the Asian Development Bank, the Asian Productivity Organization and the Philippine Department of Science and Technology, among others. The findings of these researches have been presented in conferences in Canada, U.S., Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Senegal and the Philippines. Ms Suministrado has been an Assistant Professor at De La Salle University (DLSU) – Manila where she pioneered a course on Strategic Knowledge Management. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, with high distinction, from DLSU and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics, cum laude, from the University of the Philippines. |

Jasmin Suministrado is the Knowledge Officer of ILO Microinsurance Innovation Facility in Geneva. She is one of the pioneers of KM in the Philippines, acting as project manager, writer, consultant, trainor, coach and mentor on the use of knowledge management for human development.
