HEALTH POLICY PROCESS AUDIT AND IMPROVEMENT
FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

        From June to November 2006, CCLFI.Philippines facilitated the participatory diagnosis and improvement of 27 processes in the national health policy cycle, for the Department of Health of the Philippine Government. The main client was the Health Policy Development and Planning Bureau of the Department. Some of the recommendations from the project are now being implemented by the Department such as the LGU (local government unit) scorecard and enhanced networking with other policy research/development units in health ministries of other Asian governments.

        An extra (outside the terms of the contract) service performed by CCLFI is a one-day training for Department staff in policy research tools.
