TRAINING OF THE BUREAU OF ANIMAL INDUSTRY IN ENTERPRISE-WIDE RISK MANAGEMENT

        From April to August 2006, CCLFI.Philippines, in partnership with Agwest International, the consulting arm of the Department of Agriculture and Food of Western Australia, trained the Bureau of Animal Industry in enterprise-wide risk management and mentored a group of middle-level managers in the formulation of a Risk Management Manual of Operations, an Implementation Plan and an Orientation Course on Risk Management.

        Agwest International provided two Australian experts, Dean John Edwards of Murdoch University School of Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences and Dr. Richard Norris of the Department of Agriculture and Food. Complementing them are Filipino national experts from veterinary public health, epidemiology, health policy and risk assessment, and health disaster management.
